The 15th Kansai International Airport Tourism Exhibition, the largest
international tourism exhibition in Kansai, Japan, was held at Osaka's Kansai
International Airport from May 18 to 19, 2019. Highlighting "Beautiful China"

and China's rich and colorful tourism resources in an all-round way including
an interactive experience area to engage with visitors.

At the invitation of the Chinese tourism authority's office in Osaka, Beijing
culture and tourism bureau organized a number of local tourism enterprises to
attend the exhibition, where they briefed visitors on Beijing's latest cultural
and tourism development policies and facilitation measures. They offered
visitors publicity materials and souvenirs about Beijing with in-depth
promotion of the city's extensive and profound cultural heritage and rich and
diverse tourism resources, elevating local people's interest in Beijing tourism
and expected to help further expand inbound tourism market in Beijing by
Japanese tourists.

The Beijing culture and tourism authority also held a public day about
"Charming Beijing" on May 19 and 20 at the JR Station, where the traffic is
concentrated. A variety of interactive experience activities were carried out
on site, including hand-painted Peking Opera facial make-up, hand-painted
circular fans, calligraphy and ancient costumes. Many Japanese citizens and
local tourists actively participated in these activities and filled in
questionnaires about their demand for the Beijing tourism market, which are
designed to improve marketing to bring more Japanese tourists into the capital
of China.

The Beijing delegation also went to the Osaka Branch of JTB Travel Agency, a
global inbound tourism partner with Beijing, where they learned about the
release of Beijing culture and tourism promotional materials and conducted
discussions and exchanges.

Beijing received 248,000 trips from Japanese tourists in 2018, up 2.7 percent
year on year, according to statistics. Japan ranks second only to the United
States in the source market for inbound tourism to Beijing.
