the award of Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit by Her Majesty the Queen 
as part of the Queen's Birthday Honours List 2019 (

) of New Zealand. The award highlights McLintock's services to haematology and 
obstetrics.

McLintock is a hematologist and obstetric physician serving as the Clinical 
Director of Regional Maternity Services at National Women's Health, Auckland 
City Hospital in New Zealand. She serves as President of the ISTH, in addition 
to a variety of other leadership roles including the World Thrombosis Day (

) steering committee.

"McLintock's contributions to the field of thrombosis and hemostasis, and 
particularly in the area of women's health, have been highly influential," said

cultural and professional bridges and enables great and more effective 
collaborations, particularly related to the important areas of women's health."

In addition to her work at the ISTH, McLintock is a past-president of the 
Australasian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis and a past-president of the 
Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zealand. She is also a 
member of the Asia Pacific Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.

McLintock is active in clinical research and led the New Zealand branch of the 
Australasian Maternity Outcomes Surveillance System looking at severe maternal 
morbidity in complications. She has published numerous peer reviewed articles 
and book chapters in her specialty.
