Chartered Accountants Receive Fellowships on CA ANZ President’s Visit To Malaysia
SYDNEY, June 26, 2019 /Medianet International-AsiaNet/--

-- Two Chartered Accountants in Malaysia have received Fellowships, the highest 
recognition in the accounting profession, from Chartered Accountants Australia 
and New Zealand President Stephen Walker.

Mr Walker presented the awards at the annual President's Dinner, held in Kuala 
Lumpur last night, where fifteen Chartered Accountants were recognised for 
their achievements. 

Chartered Accountant Fellowships are peer awarded for outstanding career 
achievements and contributions to the profession through business and community 
endeavors while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and judgement.

The Malaysian Fellowship recipients are:

Anees Hazleena 

Mr Walker said the Chartered Accountants' designation is internationally 
recognised for its commitment to building long-term prosperity for clients and 
communities, while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

"A core foundation that will help navigate us through the changing business 
landscape worldwide is ethical leadership. It is important that ethics are at 
the center of everything we do as accountants," Mr Walker said.

Recipient Anees Abdullah said she was very grateful to receive the award and to 
call herself a Chartered Accountant.

"I feel very honoured and privileged to receive this award. As a chartered 
accountant, I have been trained to think critically and analytically, which has 
ultimately led me to achieve many deliverables," Ms Abdullah said.

Fellowship Recipient Anees Hazleena Abdullah biography: 
Anees is the Head of Finance for Liquefied Natural Gas Marketing and Trading 
sector in Gas and New Energy Business, PETRONAS where she undertakes the role 
of the Chief Financial Officer for the PETRONAS LNG Sdn Bhd (PLSB) Group of 
Companies.  She holds a double degree in Commerce (Accounting) and Laws from 
the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.  

Beyond her role in finance, Anees is also actively involved in the development 
of human capital within the finance fraternity in PETRONAS where she sits on 
the People Development Committee of GNE Finance.
