In the first half of this year, Jiachen Group, a famous magnesium enterprise in 
Yingkou City, successfully developed and put into production ultra-pure 
magnesium, with a purity of more than 98% and a density of 3.42g/cm3. The 
process of "Jiachen ultra-pure magnesium" with natural magnesite as raw 
material has also become the first in the world.

Because of its unique resource advantages, Liaoning magnesium products account 
for nearly 90% of the domestic market share and nearly 60% of the world market 
share. Among them, most of them are "Yingkou production". Yingkou's Dashiqiao 
is also known as the "magnesium town of China". Magnesium refractory materials 
have covered 60% of the domestic market and 40% of the international market. 

For the magnesia industry, an increase of 1 percentage point in purity means 
that the refractory temperature of magnesia brick has increased by another 200 
degrees, which will have a far-reaching impact on high-temperature industries 
such as iron and steel, cement and glass.  

Nowadays, with the continuous improvement of science and technology, magnesium 
products have changed from "Yingkou production" to "Yingkou creation". At 
present, the Yingkou magnesium industry has formed an industrial system 
integrating exploration, mining, metallurgy, processing and sales, and the 
product manufacturing technology, technology and equipment have reached the 
internationally advanced level.

Magnesium products, especially refractory material, were mostly produced in 
dirt and smoke. But now, clean production and intelligent production have led 
the trend in Yingkou magnesium industry.

At present, with the advantage of resources and scale effect, catalyzed by 
scientific and technological progress, magnesium industry has developed into 
Yingkou's featured industry. There are 646 magnesium products producers in the 
city, of which 155 are above designated size. The Yingkou Municipal CPC 
Committee and the municipal government attach great importance to the green 
development of the magnesium industry and regard building the headquarters of 
the economy of magnesium materials as a new model for the development of 
innovative industries. In the future, Yingkou magnesium industry will focus on 
core enterprises, build through the supply chain platform, integrate enterprise 
resources, and promote in the overall common development of small and 
medium-sized enterprises.
