This year, from 1-14 December, medici.tv will broadcast the First Round, Semi-Finals, Finals, and Grand Finals of the competition, live from two of Singapore's top performing arts venues, starting with the YST Conservatory Concert Hall and followed by the Victoria Concert Hall. For this edition, top young virtuosos will perform sensational violin repertoires under the baton of Joshua Tan (who conducts the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in the Grand Finals) and before a renowned jury chaired by Qian Zhou. The candidates' native countries include China, Denmark, Germany, Hong-Kong, Japan, Latvia, USA, South Korea, Switzerland, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, and Ukraine. With this diverse panel of nationalities, the Singapore International Violin Competition confirms its global appeal profile for discovering tomorrow's international stars.
